Terms
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Slidestory. By using it you agree to them.
The service
You can try Slidestory free, within daily limits. To go further you buy credits, as described below. The service may change, have limits, be unavailable at times, or end.
Accounts
You do not need an account for the free try. To buy credits you sign in with your email address, using a code we send you, or with a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your email and Google account secure. One account is for one person. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Credits and payment
- Credits are bought in packs. Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout, and taxes are added where the law requires them.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Credits are added to your account once Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a minute.
- One credit draws one slide. Reading your whole deck first uses the number of credits shown on the pricing section of the home page. The picture of the whole deck is included.
- If a draw fails, the credits it used are returned to your account automatically.
- Credits do not expire. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, except as set out under refunds. If we ever close Slidestory, we will refund the credits you have not used.
- We may change prices and packs. A change applies to later purchases and does not affect credits you already hold.
Refunds
If you bought credits by mistake and have not used them, tell us within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund that purchase. Credits that have been used are not refundable, except where the service failed to deliver what you paid for, in which case we will put it right or refund you. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law where you live. To ask for a refund, use the contact address below and give the email address on your account.
Your content
You keep ownership of your slides and of the visuals made from them. You allow us to process your slides only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy page.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you are not allowed to share with an outside service provider, such as content under a confidentiality agreement, or personal information about other people.
Check the output
Visuals are drawn by an AI and can contain mistakes. Slidestory compares the numbers in each visual with your slide and marks the ones it cannot confirm, but that check is not a guarantee. Check every figure against your source before you present or publish.
Fair use
- Do not use Slidestory for anything unlawful.
- Do not try to break it, overload it, or get around its limits.
- Do not use scripts or bots to send decks.
- Do not share your account or resell credits.
- Keep access codes to yourself.
Limits
Free use has daily limits on how many decks and slides you can run. We may change or pause the limits at any time. Paid use has limits too, such as the number of slides read from one file and how many requests you can make in an hour, which keep the service steady for everyone.
No warranty, limited liability
Slidestory is provided as it is, without promises that it will be accurate, available or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using it, including decisions made from the visuals it produces.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use Slidestory after a change means you accept it.
